A Note From Our Team
Wednesday, September 30, 2026
Dear Jumps Family –
We would like to thank you for your concern, posts, and prayers during these last three weeks as we had to abruptly close on September 12th. After some unexpected test results, and a whirlwind of doctor appointments, we finally have some updates to share.
As you know, Jumps is a family-owned, small business with a dedicated but small team, so if any team member(s) become unavailable due to injury, sickness, personal matters, or other unforeseen issues, it sometimes has a significant impact on our ability to operate.
Our Owner and Executive Chef, Chad, will be undergoing open heart surgery on Wednesday, October 7. This routine, yet intensive, medical procedure will require significant recovery time and effort. Therefore, he will be unable to work for an extended period of time. In addition, many of you know that Chad’s wife, Mo, runs the front of the house, so, she will also play a large part in the recovery process for Chad.
As Chad’s health is our primary focus, we unfortunately have to announce that Jumps will be closed until he is physically able to return.
We are exploring potential options to operate in a limited capacity during the holidays e.g., carry out only or similar type service, however we want to ensure our customers receive the same quality and service they have always expected from Jumps. So, we will take all things into consideration while we explore potential short-term operating plans.
During this extended closure, we truly appreciate your patience and will keep you all updated on plans for the restaurant, as well as provide details on the recovery process, when appropriate. These will be shared on our website, email, and social media. We are so grateful for the Grosse Pointe community and blessed by continued messages of support, encouragement, and prayers.
We very much look forward to being back open in full capacity and ready to serve you all again.
Xo,
Chad and Mo
